Same wax, same volume, same performance
A lot of riders see the new oval-shaped heater and immediately assume they need a completely different wax tablet for it.
That’s not the case.
Our current Race Wax tablets still contain 200 grams of wax (and all our other waxes too), which is exactly the amount needed for the new Performance Wax Heater. So while the shape looks different, the volume is exactly the same.
You can simply place your current round Race Wax tablet into the heater and start waxing. No issues there.

Oval-shaped wax tablets are coming
Of course, because we designed the new heater in an oval shape, the long-term plan is to also introduce oval-shaped Race Wax tablets that fit the heater even more neatly.
That’s already on the to-do list of our product developer, Arthur. But until those are ready, there is absolutely no need to wait. Your current round Wax tablets do the job perfectly.
Tip for faster heating
There is one small trick we recommend. The heating elements inside the new Performance Wax Heater are located on the left and right sides of the heater.
That means the wax melts a bit faster when you place your Round Wax tablet:
- all the way to the left or
- all the way to the right
rather than placing it exactly in the middle. It’s a small detail, but it helps the heater get going a little quicker.
The best way to wax your chain
So if you already stocked up on round Wax tablets, no worries. You can use them in your new Performance Wax Heater from day one.
Same wax. Same 200 grams. Same performance. Just place the tablet to the left or right, drop your chain in, and you’re ready to hot wax.
