From a simple idea to a dream trip
Cycling is full of iconic places, and Denia is one of them. Every winter, professional teams come here to train in the mountains around the Costa Blanca. The roads are smooth, the climbs are legendary, and the cycling culture is everywhere.
One of those climbs is Coll de Rates, probably one of the most famous climbs in European cycling.
So when Greg said yes to the idea, we knew this trip would be pretty unforgettable for our customer, Angelo Mendoza.
“From just buying Cyclowax to meeting Mads Pedersen and riding Coll de Rates with Greg & Johan. This is something I'll never forget."
Riding with legends
One of the most special moments of the trip was seeing our Cyclowax rider, Dozza, roll out for a ride with Greg Van Avermaet, Olympic Champion and one of the most respected riders in the peloton.
As if that wasn’t enough, Johan Museeuw also joined us for a ride during the trip.
Two legends of the sport. One Cyclowax rider. And the roads of Denia.
For someone who loves cycling, it doesn’t get much better than that.
Visiting the Lidl-Trek training camp
During the trip we also stopped by the Lidl–Trek training camp. Seeing how a WorldTour team prepares for a season is something most cyclists never get to experience up close. The bikes, the mechanics, the attention to detail… It’s another world. For us at Cyclowax, it was also a special moment to show our rider the team we work with so closely.
Oh, and Dozza got his bike prepared by a WorldTour pro mechanic. Pretty cool, right?
Why we do things like this
Cyclowax started with a very simple mission: help cyclists ride more and better with cleaner, faster chains. But along the way, something else happened.
A community started forming around the brand. Riders who love cycling as much as we do. Trips like this are a way to give something back to that community. To create experiences that people remember for the rest of their lives. Because cycling is more than just watts and equipment.
It’s about the stories you experience.
